Hotel pickup
As with all our tours, hotel pickup is included. Depending on your hotel’s location, pickup will be between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM for hotels in the Punta Cana and Bávaro area and between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM for hotels in Bayahibe. Once all participants for our Saona Island Catamaran tour have boarded, our tour guide will welcome you on the bus and provide general information about the tour and the Dominican Republic. On the way to Bayahibe, we always plan a brief restroom stop before boarding the boat.
Boarding in Bayahibe
Our boat will be waiting for us on Bayahibe beach. Here you will also receive the wristbands for entry to the national park, which are issued by the Ministry of Tourism. And off we go!
The Natural Pool
We’ll travel part of the way by speedboat, stopping at the famous Natural Pool. There we’ll see the large red starfish and enjoy Dominican rum in the water.
The "Cat Beach"
Playa del Gato is a true paradise. The wide sandy beach, numerous coconut palms, and turquoise water invite you to swim, stroll, or simply relax on the sun loungers. Here, we also prepare lunch for our Saona Island catamaran excursion group. There’s a typical Dominican buffet and an open bar with water, soft drinks, beer, and Dominican rum for our participants.
Returning by sailing catamaran
Here begins a small party with the rhythms of bachata and merengue. Those who feel like moving their hips are welcome to join in. There’s also a quieter area at the front of the catamaran to relax and enjoy the views.
NOTE: Depending on the number of participants on the boats, it is possible to do the section by catamaran in the morning and in the afternoon by speedboat with Natural Pool.
Return to the hotel
As the sun sets, we’ll return to Bayahibe, where our bus driver will be waiting to take us back to our hotels, marking the end of this Saona Island Catamaran excursion. Our goal is for all participants from Bayahibe to be back at their hotels no later than 5:00 pm, and for participants from Punta Cana and Bávaro no later than 6:30 pm.
Our goal is to offer you a unique experience! Therefore, our tour prices are all-inclusive and there are no hidden costs. You only need to bring some money if you want to tip the boat crew, the bus driver, or the tour guide, or if you want to buy souvenirs.
